"Aftermath" is the debut album of Skyforest, the Russian solo-project which rose from the ashes of Annorkoth. Originally released in 2014, it is now for the first time ever available on vinyl.
The second album from Germany's Gateway to Selfdestruction delves into the power struggle between the child and the motherly, pathologic presence of a woman suffering from mental illness, whose self-destructive behavior is expressed through child abuse, perversions and prostitution in both obvious and hidden ways. Musically, the band went from the Depressive Black Metal with atmospheric Doom influences of earlier days to a more Progressive Extreme Metal sound with extensive use of clean guitars, guitar solos, different vocal styles, clean vocals, choirs and extreme screams.
"A New Dawn" is the third album of Skyforest. It was written entirely in the first half of 2019 and takes us further into the Atmospheric (Black) Metal territory that we know from "Unity" and "Harmony". Lyrically, it is about the journey into a new chapter of one's life...
Faidra is a Swedish Atmospheric/Orthodox Black Metal solo project that formed during late summer of 2019. The music is primarily inspired by Scandinavian Black Metal of the early 90s, with Burzum being perhaps the most prominent influence. The man behind Faidra has played in different bands of various genres since the late 90's, and for Faidra chose to keep his identity undisclosed in order to let the music speak for itself.
The music on SEDER's debut album could most appropriately be described as Cascadian Black Metal, and is recommended for fans of Wolves In The Throne Room, Fauna, Skagos and similar acts.
Etoile Filante play Cosmic Black Metal. Their second album "Magnum Opus Caelestis" is highly recommended for fans of this sub genre and bands such as Midnight Odyssey, Mesarthim or Mare Cognitum.
