Reviews:
"Overall, this was a very nice album that did indeed journey you to far away places and a sense of the supernatural. Each song told a different story and as an album it really draws you into their world. Well done, lads!" - 9/10

"Belore, with their debut release, have crafted an album that goes to the core of why black metal works so well, by re-integrating the synthetic, acoustic, and majestic sounds which had spun off of it decades ago. The end result is an album which hints all the right notes but does it with its own flair, turning up the grandiose already inherent in the genre to fabricate its own sound and approach."

"There is only one person behind the scenes here in Aleevok who handles all of what you hear rather effortlessly and with great command. The riffing is not overly wrought and are easy to get stuck in your head. The vocals (of the shrieky black/death variety) and the guitar are superb here, I feel that the keys/arrangements and the percussive elements are what really drive the album home. While there is a pretty linear approach for most of the album in terms of the rhythm patterns, Aleevok throws in some changes to add another layer into the listening experience. It becomes easy to get lost in tracks like “The Howling Fields” and “The Initiation Ritual” when he changes the pattern/tempo/style and it really grabs your attention. I also love the choral style vocals placed throughout to give it the added depth and dimension needed to create atmosphere, especially at the beginning of most of the tracks." - 8.5/10
