NSP 193 / 194 / 195 : SKYFOREST - Aftermath DigiCD, Harmony DigiMCD, Unity DigiCD

"Aftermath" is the debut album of Skyforest, the Russian solo-project which rose from the ashes of Annorkoth. Featuring Tim Yatras (Austere, Germ) on session vocals and drums, this album is the most Depressive Black Metal-like release in the Skyforest discography. Yet even back then the evolution into a more atmospheric kind of (Black) Metal with an uplifting view on life was already apparent...perhaps not in Yatras' lyrics, but certainly in the music of composer B.M.

"Unity" is the second album of Skyforest. It was written entirely during autumn-winter 2015. It is sharing a bit more positive and hopeful vibe than Aftermath. Lyrically, the album is about unity with nature and unity with yourself.

The acoustic mini-album “Harmony” served as a transition from Skyforest’s second release “Unity” to the next album “A New Dawn”. It includes five calming, uplifting and dreamy compositions.

Originally released on CD through an East European underground label and distributed mostly in that territory, the success of Skyforest’s latest album “A New Dawn” prompted us to also reissue the first two albums and this EP on CD (first press of each CD in 6-panel digipack, limited to 1000 copies) to make them available to a wider audience.

Release date: Sep 25th, 2020
