FIRST AND FOREMOST - CURRENT SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS BECAUSE OF THE COVID SITUATION:
Shipping to the US is now possible again. All pending orders will be shipped after Sep 15th and from then on once or twice every week, as usual. Delivery is expected to take approx. one month because all packages are delivered via ocean freight.
It is still not possible to ship "Warenpost" (small packages) to a few countries, first and foremost Australia and New Zealand. Also, while shipping restrictions for these countries are still in effect, a crisis surcharge is applied to DHL parcels (orders with a weight >2kg). Since this concerns only a few orders the extra cost (3.60 Euro/kg for Australia and 2.30 Euro/kg for New Zealand) will be invoiced separately if you want to have your order shipped right away and don't want to wait until the shipping prices return to normal, however long that may take. And now, some general information about this shop:
If you want to change the language to English please click on the German flag in the upper left hand corner and select the English one instead.
Orders (except pre-orders) are usually shipped anywhere from 1-7 days after payment has been received. If a lot of orders are received during a short time period, for example when new albums are released for which there is much demand, then it may take a bit longer than that. So please order only if you are prepared to wait!
The store is generally easy to use and pretty self-explaining, but a few important things should be mentioned:
- As a special feature there are Youtube links on the pages of many CDs and LPs so you can check out the albums right here in the shop without having to search for them on the web.
- Every order of 50 Euro or more gets a discount (5% if you pay via PayPal, 8% if you use a credit card, and 10% if you use SEPA bank transfer)
- We have a wonderful partner program which allows you to recruit new customers for Northern Silence and get a 2% commission from their purchases. All that is required is that you sign up for it after you bought for at least 50 Euro from us yourself. Afterward, you can generate partner links, and all orders from our shop that happen through one of your links are automatically linked to your account and you receive a commission. To start, just click the link "Partner program" in your account overview.
- If you like certain releases please tell others about it! You can write a short review or recommendation to help other customers find more great music. Just click the link "Reviews" on an item page and let us know your opinion!
