Orders (except pre-orders) are usually shipped anywhere from 1-7 days after payment has been received. If a lot of orders are received during a short time period, for example when new albums are released for which there is much demand, then it may take a bit longer than that. So please order only if you are prepared to wait!
The store is generally easy to use and pretty self-explaining, but a few important things should be mentioned:
- Every order of 50 Euro or more gets a discount (5% if you pay via PayPal, 8% if you use a credit card, and 10% if you use SEPA bank transfer)
- As a special feature there are Youtube links on the pages of many CDs and LPs so you can check out the albums right here in the shop without having to search for them on the web.
- Northern Silence Productions, as a mailorder offering worldwide shipping, is required to adhere to VAT (value added tax) rules and regulations, and display prices including VAT as it is collected and remitted by us.
Since July 1st, 2021 that is no longer possible from the outset, because VAT is now paid to the countries of the buyers and no longer the country of the seller, resulting in a different VAT rate for every EU country instead of the previously uniform 19% for Germany.
Hence, the actual VAT rate for any country can only be displayed after a customer has created an account or logged into his existing account, which we recommend to all customers before browsing our store.
After the login all customers from the EU will see the prices including the respective VAT rate of their country. All NON-EU customers will see their actual prices with 0% VAT. The latter are not identical to the prices before the login because they must be based on German gross prices that we also use on other sales platforms.
